I am over the moon to have nominated for Music Tutor of the Year at this year’s Scots Trad Music Awards 2019!
I feel privileged to have been nominated – it means the world to me! This past year has been a whirlwind of different projects and I’ve loved every single moment of it! Alongside tutoring my own school of fiddle and violin pupils, I penned my first fiddle tutor book “A Guide To Learning The Fiddle book 1”.
Across this year I have taken on two fiddle tutor posts at two different community projects – The Cowal Fiddle Workshop & The Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop, as well as launching my own community mixed instrument music workshops – HOW TO CEILIDH!
In September I began a mammoth mission of Continuing Professional Development by commencing studies for as Masters in Education in Teaching & Learning in the Performing Arts at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and I am loving the all the challenges and new knowledge this is bringing!
